Maps	TEAM BUILDING DURING A REGATTA OR YOUR OWN 1 DAY COMPANY REGATTA ON FIREFLY RACE CATAMARANS No experience required Sailing in a race, you’re teambuilding capabilities will be honed and improved, automatically and instantly. Even the best teams can learn more, an exemplary method based on astringency* and developed by Andaman Sea Club Sailing Charters especially for those who work for Human Resources and in Management teams. A true reality team building course for the non-experienced sailors and an eye opener for the experienced. Regatta sailing in Thailand You must have heard about sail-regattas in far away exotic places, seen it on TV, and  thought, that you never would be one of the crew,or that you could participate. But it is possible, very much so. During a short trip to Thailand with your company you can participate in such a venue, and together with your colleagues join for the ultimate teambuilding exercise. Sailing experience is not necessary to get on the podium. To work and learn is. You will sail on absolute the hottest class of Asia/Thailand, the Ferrari’s of the Sea, very fast 9 meter long offshore catamaran of the brand Firefly. Fast safe and very stable, a superb platform to sail, work and learn on. An  experienced captain who knows the boat inside out and you with 4-5 colleagues are the crew. The Boats The Fireflies are all exactly the same, they compete in a so called  one design class, the best crew wins. They have the same weight, sail area, and equipment. Speeds up to 40km/hr are no exception. Sometimes it is real hard work. In  regattas like the prestigious Kingscup, we’ll compete against 10 or more other Fireflies. But we also can organize your own company regatta with 2,3 or 4 Fireflies on 1 or more days. The end result is the same.  The Action, the Team Building Before we start the real race, we will train one or two days. You will start to know each other better in this new environment, we will determine who is going to do what during the actual race, pending on the conditions we will even rotate these positions. Also we’ll go through the safety issues and basic sailing rules. The best crew wins, top concentration and cooperation, old fashioned healthy nerves just before the start, checking the radio for the to be sailed course, watching the coded flags, tacking, gibing, spinnaker up and down and again up and down. This is teamwork, it can’t be avoided. You will be instructed but you also will instruct in both cases based on astringency. Progress You can’t run away we all depend on you. The first two days will be very new for everyone, the team has to form itself, you’ll feel your muscles, you might be exhausted. Not only physical but also intellectually. Time for a good Thai massage. But after day two, the team gets stronger and stronger you’ll be complimented on shore by the other teams, they know you started as the underdog, but they also know, the ‘’underdog’’ is to be reckoned with. We will win some races for sure. A week full of surprises You’ll stay in a top hotel, and there is enough time for relaxation after the daily races, all the teams meet for a traditional ‘’Finish beer’’, you’ll talk to the other sailors, and the big stories come alive. In the evenings there are resort and beach venue parties and dinner combined, they start early, are very well organized and of a high quality. Business-wise these evenings are good for networking, many teams come from Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, Tokyo and Europe For everybody a regatta is a special experience, we will also discuss this,  it is essential to hear from your own crew what they have discovered. The teambuilding process goes almost automatic, you hardly notice it happening, that is the uniqueness of this course. It is the most logic incentive for Department’s of Human Recourses, How to find the best in people, how to motivate and create a team, who can you trust and who do you want to have on board………..  Sailing is the last real adventure, you have the boat, the sea, the wind. Breathtaking surroundings, with powder white beaches and limestone cliffs, you are one with nature. Regatta sailing adds competition, one element to see how well the team is performing. When returning  home, you will arrive as a stronger team. A team that is able to pass on the message of the wind and sea to its colleagues. You have worked hard, had fun, and experienced something special, you are one step ahead your skipper guarantees that  1 or more days teambuilding Company races Customized to the wishes of the company. Obviously to race you need more than one boat. We can offer up to 5 Fireflies.
